CREATE YOUR OWN VERSION OF SUCCESS 12 years ago, I was feeling DEEP in a rut with my JOB. I had a good boss and great benefits. I should be happy with what I had, right?! UGH. But I was miserable. I really wasn't all that great at my job because I only enjoyed about 10% of my daily tasks! I don't know if you can relate but I'm really not that much into putting love into things I don't have love for...
...and that was taking a HUGE toll on my self esteem.
I FELT STUCK. I WAS IN A DEEP RUT AND I DIDN'T KNOW WHO I WAS.
So I reached out to a spiritual coach. He took me through a Core Passion Assessment which showed me WHO I WAS. What I realized was that I was in a job that was shining a light on all of my personality CHALLENGES and not my GIFTS. YUCK. No wonder I was miserable. But up to that point, I really didn't really know WHO I WAS. He said to me, "When you know who you are, You know what to do!" That day was a turning point in my life. I started looking at myself differently. It felt good to know I had gifts that were being underutilized! I started focusing on doing things I loved which organically led me down to new paths in my life to where I'm at today.
I can't imagine going back to being a litigation paralegal. It was a great job but NOT FOR ME! Had I not taken that Core Passion Assessment and gone through the Core Passion program, I'm not sure where my life would be today. Would I be a hypnotherapist? Would I even know that was an option for me without looking at myself in a new way? I don't think so. Thank goodness for the God nudge that inspired me to reach out to that coach that day.
